Nickel – Metal Hydride (NiMH)
The driving force behind the NiMH technology was the desire to make a battery with a higher level of energy density using a “green” technology. NiMH technology is typically used in wireless consumer electronics where energy density is important and cycles less important. NiMH is generally considered to have been the forerunner to Li-ion.
